The East Boston Spatial Justice Lab

The East Boston Spatial Justice Lab worked with Maverick Landing Community Services and local artist and community organizer Gabriela Cartagena to understand and measure how the arts, advocacy, and cultural organizing for housing justice could strengthen residents’ social and emotional well-being as well as the community’s healing and revitalization. In addition to Jules Rochielle and Dan Jackson at the School of Law’s NuLawLab, the Northeastern University project leadership included Dr. Tiana Yom of Northeastern’s Public Evaluation Lab (NU-PEL) and Dr. Miso Kim of Northeastern’s College of Arts, Media + Design.
